København hat – Knitting pattern

The København hat is knitted from the bottom up and in the round, starting with a 2/2 tubular cart on, then knitted first in 2/2 rib for the hem and then in 1/1 rib for the straight part, right down to the base. This is knitted by a series of decreases.

The København hat is knitted with a DK yarn. The blue, brick and striped versions are knitted with De Rerum Natura’s Penelope yarn (133 m/50 g). The purple verion is knitted with 3 yarns held together: 1 thread of mohair and silk and 2 threads of alpaca 1 from Isager.
